Rose Compass was invited to participate in a wonderful public service project by Healthypeoplehealthytrails.org an organization that is sponsored by Cottage Health, Sanusum Clinic, CenCal Health, Santa Barbara County Trails Council, Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation and the National Park Service. Our partnership with these groups is informative and fun and takes the form of cards that have an image from each of the Rose Compass artists and pairing it with the location, directions and information about the site that the image represents.
We covered 92 miles of the Santa Ynez River watershed and these cards allow people to get outside, explore and hike to some of the sites and experience the watershed themselves. We are excited to share at least part of our adventure and the many beautiful places we discovered along the way. Part of our mission is for people gain an appreciation of our important and diverse watershed - what better way than to get out there and experience it yourself!

The 6 cards will available at our exhibition venues - Santa Barbara City Hall, Sullivan Goss Gallery, Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum, as well as at our founding venue, the Wildling Museum. Cards will also be distributed by the sponsoring organizations. We want to thank Mark Wilkinson of the SB County Trails Council for doing the legwork (no pun intended!) and designing the cards.
