This painting represents our dam building efforts to hold water for our consumption. A 1950’s blow up pool was superimposed over Lake Cachuma. The pool is a large container ( compared to the bathtubs used for Gibraltor Dam and Jameson Lake) and represents the products used during post war construction. The companion pieces are “Jameson Lake as a Cowboy Tub” and “Gibraltar as a Victorian Tub.”

Cachuma Lake as Blow Up Pool is gouache on Arches Board. Image size is 4x6" framed to 11x14" with museum plexiglass for ease of shipping and protection against the damage of light. Currently on view at the Santa Barbara City Hall Gallery sponsored by the Office of Arts and Culture. The show will run August 2018 through March 2019.
